Our local landscapes are changing, and Mountain Bridge TU is on the front lines ensuring that change is for the better. From restorations projects to other conservations initiatives, our members is working to protect the wild spaces we all enjoy.
But we can’t do it alone.
Your donation today directly funds:
Conservation & Habitat Restoration: Your support funds major initiatives like the Eastern Brook Trout Restoration Project in the Jocassee Wilderness, conducted in partnership with the SCDNR.
The chapter also works with the Naturaland Trust to purchase and protect vital trout habitat property in the Upstate forever.
Mountain Bridge Warriors Program: This initiative serves over a hundred veterans and first responders annually, utilizing the "healing power of water" and fly fishing as recreational therapy. The program provides a community for those who have served, helping them transition and find peace on local rivers like the South Saluda.
Educating the Next Generation: Through the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program, the chapter provides aquariums and equipment to schools across the Greenville-Spartanburg area. Students raise trout from eggs to fingerlings, learning essential STEM concepts and environmental ethics before releasing the fish into local streams.
