Take Action

Donations power our initiatives, and while financial contributions are essential, an even more valuable resource is your time. Your support is crucial in our mission to conserve and protect the cold water fisheries here in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Our successful online auction in 2025 raised vital funds with exciting items, and we are committed to making the next auction even better with everything from fishing trips to new equipment.

We are profoundly grateful for every form of support and thank you for any help you can provide.

Joining Trout Unlimited (TU) offers a powerful way to transform your passion for fishing into a lasting commitment to conservation. As a member of the nation’s leading cold-water conservation organization, you support critical efforts to protect, reconnect, and restore North America’s rivers and streams. Beyond contributing to cleaner water and healthier fisheries, you gain access to a vibrant community of over 150,000 members and more than 400 local chapters, where you can volunteer for hands-on restoration projects like planting trees or monitoring stream health.

Whether you are a seasoned angler or a beginner, joining Trout Unlimited allows you to "give back" to the waters you love, ensuring that future generations can experience the joy of wild and native trout.

Partnerships & Sponsorship

Partnering with the Mountain Bridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited (MBTU) allows local businesses and organizations to play a vital role in protecting the cold-water fisheries of the South Carolina Upstate.

Sponsors directly fuel high-impact initiatives, such as the Eastern Brook Trout Restoration Project in the Jocassee Wilderness and the Warriors Program, which serves over a hundred veterans annually. By becoming a TU Business Member, partners gain visibility through features in the quarterly TROUT magazine, listings on the national website, and digital recognition that connects their brand with a passionate community of conservation-minded outdoor enthusiasts.

Current collaborators include prominent names like Orvis, Cabela’s, and the SCDNR, all of whom help MBTU secure the future of native trout through habitat land purchases and youth education programs like Trout in the Classroom.

South Carolina license plate with trout design and the words "Trout Unlimited".

The South Carolina Trout Unlimited (SCTU) license plate is a specialty tag designed by local artist Jay Talbot that features a vibrant native Southern Appalachian brook trout. Unveiled in 2019, the plate costs $70 every two years (in addition to standard registration fees), with proceeds directly supporting the conservation and restoration of the state's coldwater resources.

These funds empower grassroots efforts by the Mountain Bridge, Saluda River, and Chattooga River chapters, which have historically worked on projects such as restoring miles of native brook trout habitat and establishing catch-and-release zones on the lower Saluda River. South Carolina residents can purchase the tag through the SCDMV Plate Gallery by searching for "Trout Unlimited" and following the prompts to buy online.

White T-shirt featuring a graphic of a trout jumping out of water, with a green shape in the background, and text that reads 'Mountain Bridge Trout Unlimited'.

The Mountain Bridge Trout Unlimited t-shirt serves as a vital fundraising tool for the Mountain Bridge Chapter #46, supporting critical conservation efforts like the Eastern Brook Trout Restoration Project in the Jocassee Wilderness. Typically featuring the chapter’s branding or classic Trout Unlimited graphics, these shirts are often crafted from high-quality materials such as 100% ring-spun cotton to ensure durability and comfort for anglers in the field.

Beyond just apparel, the proceeds from these sales directly fund local initiatives including the Upstate Warriors Veterans Program and the Trout in the Classroom educational series for South Carolina middle schools.
