From Our Friends at Orvis, Greenville

HELP US CLEAN UP TRASH AND CLEAR TRAILS AT ASBURY HILLS METHODIST CAMP

Come join Orvis Greenville May 7, 2017 from 9AM - 4PM while we perform trail maintenance and improvements along Matthews Creek in northern Greenville County on Asbury Hills property. Orvis Pledges 5% of Pre-Tax profit to Conservation Initiatives. In addition, Orvis Greenville wants to contribute on a local level with man-hours and community building. This is a volunteer effort so any time that you can contribute is greatly appreciated!

The following items are recommended and encouraged:    

• Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, shoes, work gloves, and bring your own snacks (Orvis will supply water for drinking)
• Long pants and boots or shoes that may get muddy are suggested;
• Poison ivy, long grass, and potential for stinging insects are always a possibility when one goes out in the woods, be prepared
• Bring your saws, rakes, shovels, and safety glasses if you care to use them or let others use them
• Respect for the Landowner

Afterwards you are welcome to hang out and fish. Anyone unfamiliar with this small wild trout stream will be rewarded with it's seclusion, scenic beauty and fishing action. Bring your Adams, Caddis, or favorite dry/dropper combo and we can see who ends up hooking up with "Mr. Big".
