Monthly Meeting with Tradd Little of mopflies.com

Join us November 25 to hear Tradd Little, owner of MopFlies.com

From a young age, Tradd enjoyed working with his hands. He would craft fishing lures and flies using whatever materials he could find—feathers, sewing thread, foam toys, rubber paper balls, weed-eater string, and more. When he was 11 years old, his parents gifted him a fly-tying kit. With the right tools, he quickly progressed in his fly-tying ability. Over the years, Tradd has had the privilege of participating in fly fishing shows and events across the country as a featured fly tyer, demonstrator, and instructor.

While demonstrating at the shows, Tradd received many requests from people asking where they could buy his flies. At the time, he wasn’t selling anything on his website; he simply enjoyed helping others with their passion and giving flies away. But people kept asking to buy his flies, so eventually, he tied an inventory to bring to the next show. Among those flies were mop flies and they sold very quickly. Recognizing the opportunity, Tradd launched MopFlies.com in 2016 at the age of 14.
